About

Dylan Farrell is a born musician whose experience has given him an artistic depth that most artists can only aspire to. As a singer-songwriter, he has the ability to tell vivid, weighted stories with just a few simple words—matched only by his guitar playing, which demonstrates a level of emotional maturity, technical depth, and dexterity that is truly remarkable for someone of his age.

Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Dylan began his professional career playing in his father’s band in Saint John at the age of 15.

After moving to Edmonton in 2012, he quickly became a fixture in the city’s thriving roots and blues scene, lending his consummate skill as a sideman to several acts and hosting weekly blues jams at local venues. Having solidified a sterling reputation through these side projects, Dylan began to focus more on his own musical voice.

From an early age, Dylan was drawn to the songwriting of artists like Willie Nelson and Ray Charles, who were clearly inspired by the Blues and R&B artists of their time. These musicians bridged the gap for Dylan to his guitar heroes, like Stevie Ray Vaughan and B.B. King—the very reason Dylan picked up the guitar in the first place. All of these influences have led him to create a unique blend of soulful country, fueled by a powerful voice and emotive blues guitar.

Dylan is a two-time winner of the Memphis Bound Blues Challenge and a semi-finalist at the International Blues Challenge. His latest release,

Mississippi Circle, is an album that draws from all of Dylan’s influences, cohesively glued together by the live-off-the-floor sound captured at legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.

In late 2023, he made the move to Nashville, where he could be fully immersed in the city's vibrant music scene, balancing an active tour schedule with writing and performing in Music City, USA.
